Tomb Raider

Explore the OpenLara engine, its browser demonstration, and original-data requirements.

A classic, rebuilt

OpenLara rebuilds the original Tomb Raider engine. Its browser technology is a useful starting point, but an upstream browser demo does not prove that a complete campaign works in this player. Keep level, audio, and video files from one supported game edition together. A single level file may omit music or cinematics. This catalog entry currently directs you to upstream setup instructions; local folder import and save compatibility still need an adapter here.

What you need

Original game data required

This is a discovery entry. We do not currently provide a supported browser build. Follow the upstream project for its installation instructions and supported platforms.

Controls & input

  • See the upstream project’s control documentation.

Saving your progress

Follow the upstream project’s save instructions. There is no hosted player for this entry.

Known limitations

  • Directory entry; browser gameplay has not been verified here.

Source & assets

The engine and game data have separate licenses. A source release does not automatically make the original artwork, music, or levels freely redistributable.
