Open Digger

Dig through eight new geometric mazes, collect every emerald, and avoid roaming enemies.

Open Digger gameplay

A classic, rebuilt

Open Digger pairs the documented Digger Remastered decompilation with eight independently designed levels and a complete CC0 visual set. The browser build contains no original maps, graphics, title, icon, font, or tune data. Its deliberately simple geometric artwork makes the replacement campaign visually distinct.

What you need

No original game files needed.

Controls & input

  • Enter — start game

Saving your progress

High scores and settings are stored in this browser. Use Export saves in the player toolbar before clearing browser data.

Browser data can be cleared by your browser or operating system. Export a backup from the player before clearing site data or moving devices. Private browsing may not retain saves.

Known limitations

  • Audio is intentionally absent from this replacement build.
  • The opening level and representative second-level play have been tested; a complete eight-level playthrough has not been verified.

Source & assets

The engine and game data have separate licenses. A source release does not automatically make the original artwork, music, or levels freely redistributable.
