Gabriele Cirulli’s MIT browser puzzle runs locally with CSS tiles and system fonts. This original JavaScript game requires no ROM or downloaded assets; it is not a WebAssembly build or decompilation.

What has been tested

Real keyboard merging/score, exact board save reload and restart verified with no errors, missing resources or external requests. No victory or loss claim.

Last tested 2026-10-12 in Edge (headless, muted). Full playthrough: not verified. How games are tested.

Known limitations

Modern browser required.
2048 victory, terminal loss and touch controls unverified.
No audio implementation.

Saves

Board and best score save automatically in this browser. Clearing site storage removes them.
