About this build
Original independently authored courtyard challenge on original developer-released Eldritch 2019 native code; source port, not decompilation, retail campaign, emulation or clean-room certified. The browser edition runs native world physics, rendering, raycast interaction and saves with independently authored CC0 art, glyphs, mesh animation, synthesized cues, text and map. This small challenge is silent and requires no original game files.

What has been tested
Fresh v3 source rebuild: all 438 native units; normal keyboard A/B/C and exit, early denial/duplicate rejection; product pause, partial/completed persistence across browser relaunch, seven damaged outer saves rejected, corrupt cold-start recovery and injected sync error/retry. Native GL and IDBFS cleanup verified. Final v4 notice/controller export packaging retains exact native code/assets/outputs; host validation is recorded separately in the dated release report. No retail campaign or audible verification.
Last tested 2026-10-14 in Headless Microsoft Edge on Windows; muted. Full playthrough: verified. How games are tested.
See the dated distribution and gameplay record.
Known limitations
- One original courtyard challenge, not the retail campaign or a complete replacement campaign.
- Keyboard and WebGL2 required; touch, controllers, other browsers/devices unverified.
- Tested accidental save damage and injected synchronization error recovery; real quota exhaustion, adversarially forged records, crash/rapid-close/transfer and legacy migration unverified.
- Native Stop releases tracked GL objects/context and save connections; full WASM heap destruction and same-module reinitialization unverified.
- Null audio driver and muted tests; audible playback unverified.
- Upstream cached SDK runtime object-to-source reproducibility was not independently rebuilt; notices retain a conservative header/template superset.
Saves
Click Save and wait for Saved on this device before closing. Restore loads that checkpoint; New yard keeps it. Stored native save bytes are edition/version/size/SHA-256 checked. Clearing this origin/profile’s site data removes saves. Stop does not durably save unsaved changes; no portable import/export.
